Bute Mills
Bute Mills is an interactive, permanent artwork, designed for a charity called Youthscape, which helps and encourages young people. It consists of an array of 61 mechanical dynamic pixels, built from salvaged car parts from Vauxhall, the main sponsor of this project. The pixels respond to movements in front of the artwork, reciprocating the activity in the lobby of the building, resulting in an ever-changing wall of light.
My role in this project was to design, develop and test all electronics and software of the installation as a Creative Technologist intern at Jason Bruges Studio.
